Choosing between an SUV and a sedan depends on your passengers, luggage, journeys and the actual model offered. An SUV is not automatically roomier, more economical or better equipped. Compare vehicle listings for your dates rather than relying only on the category.
When might an SUV suit you?
An SUV may appeal for its driving position or interior layout. Check seat access, rear space and the boot, particularly with a pushchair or several suitcases. Ground clearance alone does not determine whether a car is suitable for an itinerary.

When might a sedan or compact suit you?
For city driving and journeys on paved roads, compare dimensions, transmission and comfort. A compact hatchback and a sedan with a separate boot offer different luggage access: check the listing and photos before choosing.
Fuel consumption and rates depend on the model, engine, driving conditions and quote. Do not assume one category is always cheaper. Compare the full rental cost and your estimated fuel budget.
An SUV does not authorise off-road driving
Choosing an SUV does not grant permission to drive on tracks or dunes. Check the uses allowed by the contract and confirm unusual journeys before booking. Published conditions exclude unauthorised off-road driving; Premium does not remove these exclusions.
Read the plan conditions. Reaching a destination by road and taking an off-road excursion are different needs.

- Total price for identical dates and locations.
- Security deposit, deductible, extras and exclusions.
