Elixir red new 2026 Citroën C4 front three-quarter view

The C4 is Citroën's compact, but it looks like no other: a raised fastback silhouette halfway between a saloon and a crossover, facelifted in 2024 with the brand's new identity – oval logo, three-tier LED signature, redesigned bumpers. Citroën Morocco offers it in 2026 with the 130 hp 1.2 PureTech and EAT8 automatic gearbox (Plus and Max trims, from 227,900 MAD), as well as a Hybrid 145 ë-DCS6.

Fun & Run rents the C4 as a petrol automatic: it is the compact in our fleet that puts comfort first. Citroën Advanced Comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions, thick-foam Advanced Comfort seats, careful sound insulation and a 380-litre boot: ideal for a couple or family chaining Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakech without fatigue.

Progressive hydraulic cushions: Citroën's "magic carpet" effect on Morocco's rough roads.
  • PureTech 130 + EAT8

The facelifted C4: serenity on board

The 2024 facelift gives the C4 Citroën's new front end: oval logo on a full grille, three-tier light signature and more sculpted bumpers; the rear gets redesigned lights and a spoiler that emphasises the fastback silhouette. Raised a few centimetres above a conventional compact, the C4 keeps useful ground clearance and 17- or 18-inch wheels.

Inside, Citroën focuses on serenity: thick-foam Advanced Comfort seats, progressive hydraulic cushion suspension that filters road imperfections, enhanced sound insulation. The 10-inch touchscreen handles navigation and wireless smartphone mirroring, the colour head-up display projects speed into your line of sight, and the passenger has the Smart Pad Support to hold a tablet.

The Max trim adds the Drive Assist pack – adaptive cruise, active lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring – and a 360° camera, making the C4 one of the best-equipped compacts for active safety in Morocco.

Why choose the C4 to discover Morocco

The C4 is built for long distances: on the A7 to Marrakech, the A1 to Tangier or the coastal N1, its Advanced Comfort suspension erases joints and undulations, and the EAT8 keeps the PureTech 130 at low revs. Adaptive cruise and the head-up display make three-hour trips relaxing, with real-world consumption around 6.5 L/100 km and over 750 km per tank.

In town, its 4.36 m silhouette and rear camera (360° on Max) make manoeuvring easy, and the slightly raised seating gives good visibility. The 380-litre boot takes luggage for three or four; rear space is generous for a compact.

Against the Clio, the C4 is bigger, more powerful and more comfortable; against the Creta or Duster, it is lower and more road-focused. It is the car for those who want saloon comfort without SUV bulk.

The C4 in Morocco in 2026: petrol or hybrid

Citroën Morocco offers the New C4 as a 1.2 PureTech 130 EAT8 (Plus 227,900 MAD, Max 247,900 MAD) and a Hybrid 145 ë-DCS6 (Max, 267,900 MAD). We rent the petrol automatic.

  • 1.2 PureTech 130 EAT8 — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, EAT8 automatic, 130 hp / 230 Nm, ≈ 5.9 L/100 km. Our fleet configuration. The PureTech 130 is lively and the 8-speed EAT8 torque-converter gearbox is one of the smoothest on the market: ideal in traffic jams as on the motorway.
  • 1.2 Hybrid 145 ë-DCS6 : 48 V mild-hybrid petrol, ë-DCS6 automatic, 145 hp, ≈ 4.7 L/100 km. The top mild-hybrid version, 0-100 km/h in 8 s, panoramic roof and head-up display as standard. Not rented; for a hybrid in our fleet, see the MG ZS Hybrid+ or Toyota Yaris Hybrid.

FAQ

Is the C4 a saloon or an SUV?

Somewhere in between: Citroën describes it as a raised fastback compact. It offers the seating position and ground clearance of a light crossover, with the road manners and fuel economy of a compact saloon.

Is the EAT8 a real automatic?

Yes, it is an 8-speed torque-converter automatic (Aisin), known for its smoothness, with steering-wheel paddles. No jerkiness at low speed, unlike some robotised gearboxes.

How much luggage fits in the C4?

The 380-litre boot takes three hold suitcases or two large plus two cabin bags. The 60/40 bench folds to reach 1,250 litres.

Is the C4 suitable for the Atlas?

For paved mountain roads (Tichka, Ifrane, Chefchaouen), yes: 130 hp and 230 Nm are plenty and the comfort is an asset in the bends. Unpaved tracks remain excluded; for those, prefer a Duster or Sportage.

Is the rented C4 the facelifted 2026 model?

Our C4 fleet consists of the third generation, renewed with Citroën Morocco deliveries, including the facelifted version shown here. We book a "C4 or similar" category: if unavailable, you get an equivalent automatic compact.

What deposit for the Citroën C4?

On the Basic plan a pre-authorisation is taken on your credit card and released on return; the amount is shown on the vehicle page. On Premium, no deposit and no excess.
