The ZS is the compact SUV that put MG on the map in Morocco, and its third generation, launched in 2024, moves up a class: 4.43 m long (+11 cm), full-width grille, "Hunter-Eye" LED headlights, 18-inch wheels and above all the Hybrid+ powertrain first seen on the MG3. An Atkinson-cycle 1.5 petrol, an electric motor, a generator and a 1.83 kWh battery deliver a combined 197 hp for 5.1 L/100 km: the ZS runs on electricity in Casablanca traffic and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 8 seconds.
Fun & Run offers two ZS: the "ZS Hybride", i.e. this new ZS Hybrid+, and the previous-generation "ZS", a 106 hp 1.5 petrol SUV with automatic gearbox, simpler and cheaper. Both offer five real seats, a high driving position and a big boot; this page presents the new model, then helps you choose.

The new ZS Hybrid+: what changes
The third-generation ZS grows by 11 cm in length and 1 cm in width, to 4.43 m × 1.82 m, with the wheelbase stretched to 2.61 m for the benefit of rear passengers. The styling drops the old model's curves for a taut front end: full-width hexagonal-pattern grille, slim "Hunter-Eye" LED headlights, ribbed bonnet, 18-inch alloys and tail lights visually linked by a bar.
The cabin is dominated by a 12.3-inch touchscreen combining navigation, climate control and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto mirroring, facing a digital instrument cluster. The 360° camera builds a bird's-eye view for manoeuvres, the multifunction steering wheel has a unique shape and the Ultimate trim adds a panoramic sunroof. The boot reaches 443 litres, among the best in the segment.
The Hybrid+ powertrain combines five elements – 1.5 Atkinson combustion engine, automatic gearbox, 1.83 kWh battery, electric motor and generator – and switches between electric, series-hybrid and parallel-hybrid modes. The result: 197 hp, 5.1 L/100 km on the WLTP cycle and consumption down 24% versus the petrol ZS it replaces.
Why rent a ZS for your stay in Morocco
The ZS Hybrid+ is for those who want a modern, powerful SUV without excessive consumption: in Casablanca it runs much of the time on electricity, silently; on the motorway to Rabat, Marrakech or Tangier its 197 hp gives safe overtaking and a stable cruise, with adaptive cruise managing distances. With 41 litres and 5 to 6 L/100 km in real use, range exceeds 700 km.
Space is that of a real compact SUV: five adults, a 443-litre boot for three large suitcases, a high seating position and enough ground clearance for secondary roads and beach access. The 360° camera and sensors make manoeuvring in narrow medina and hotel car parks very easy.
The previous-generation petrol ZS remains a relevant option for a tighter budget: same family purpose, same automatic gearbox, but a calmer 106 hp engine. We recommend it for mainly urban and coastal stays.
The two MG ZS in our fleet
MG Morocco sells the new ZS only as a 197 hp Hybrid+, in Drive (259,000 MAD) and Ultimate (279,000 MAD) trims. The previous-generation petrol ZS, which we keep in the fleet, is no longer in the new-car catalogue.

Our "MG ZS": the facelifted previous-generation petrol SUV (4.32 m), with 10" touchscreen, rear camera and panoramic roof depending on unit. Less powerful, but roomy, simple and clearly cheaper per day.

FAQ
Do I need to plug in the MG ZS Hybrid+?
No. It is a self-charging full hybrid: the 1.83 kWh battery recharges while driving and braking. You fill up with petrol as usual; the system switches between electric and combustion on its own.
What is the difference between "ZS Hybride" and "ZS" in your fleet?
The ZS Hybride is the new 197 hp MG ZS Hybrid+ (3rd generation, 2024+). The ZS is the previous-generation model, 106 hp 1.5 petrol with automatic gearbox. Both are 5-seat automatic SUVs; the new one is more powerful, more frugal and better equipped, the old one is cheaper.
Is the ZS a 4x4?
No, both ZS are two-wheel-drive SUVs. Their ground clearance suits rough roads and graded tracks; off-roading is excluded by our terms.
How much luggage fits in the ZS Hybrid+?
The 443-litre boot takes three large hold suitcases plus bags; the 60/40 bench folds flat for long items. On the previous-generation ZS the boot is 448 litres.
MG ZS Hybrid+ or Hyundai Creta?
Both are compact automatic SUVs of similar size. The ZS Hybrid+ is far more powerful (197 hp vs 115 hp), more frugal and has a bigger screen; the Creta is pure petrol, a bit more compact and cheaper. For lots of motorway, the ZS Hybrid+; for relaxed urban use, the Creta.
What deposit for an MG ZS?
