New 2026 Hyundai i10 parked under colourful architecture

At Fun & Run, the Hyundai i10 is the car our customers book most often, and that is no accident. In the streets of Casablanca, between the congested Boulevard Zerktouni, the alleys of the old medina and the underground car parks of the Twin Center or Morocco Mall, a 3.67 m car that squeezes through and parks anywhere is worth its weight in gold. Add tiny fuel consumption and our entry-level rate, and you have the most rational rental for an urban stay.

The third-generation i10, built in Izmit, Turkey, received a facelift in 2023 that Hyundai Morocco sells as the "New i10" for the 2026 model year: new front end with LED daytime lights integrated into the wide black grille, fully digital instruments, ambient lighting and above all an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Our unit has a manual gearbox: the lightest, most frugal and cheapest version.

  • 3.67 m: parks anywhere
1.68 m wide with a turning circle of about 9.6 m: quick parallel parking in the streets of Maârif or Gauthier.
  • Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
8-inch touchscreen: your navigation app (Waze, Google Maps) appears without a cable as soon as you get in.
  • Around 5 L/100 km
    Naturally aspirated 1.0 MPi three-cylinder: a 36 L fill-up costs under 500 MAD and covers 600 to 700 km.
  • Hyundai Smart Sense
Autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping, driver attention warning and high-beam assist: rare on a mini city car.
  • 5 seats and 252 L boot
Two cabin suitcases and a bag in the boot; up to 1,050 L with the bench folded.
  • Our entry-level rate
Alongside the Dacia Sandero, the i10 is the cheapest vehicle in the fleet, with the same unlimited mileage.

What the facelifted i10 brings

Launched in 2019, the third i10 was restyled in 2023. The front end adopts a wide black grille with a triangular pattern into which arrow-shaped LED daytime lights are integrated; the headlights are more sculpted and the rear bumper picks up a Y-shaped design. 15- or 16-inch wheels (alloys on the top trim) and new colours such as Meta Blue or Mangrove Green complete the update.

The cabin moves on even further: 100% digital instruments, ambient lighting in the doors and footwells, and a floating 8-inch touchscreen. The big news is wireless smartphone mirroring: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect as soon as you open the door, which is precious in a rental car where you rarely have the right cable to hand.

On safety, the i10 remains the best equipped in its class with the Hyundai Smart Sense suite: emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, smart high beam and a rear camera. Six airbags and VSM stability control are standard.

Why it is the most-booked car at Fun & Run

Casablanca is a dense city where parking is the real challenge: narrow spaces, double-parked streets, underground car parks with tight ramps. With its 3.67 m and very direct steering, the i10 slips in where a compact gives up. Its short body also limits the risk of scrapes, a real argument on the Basic plan where the excess remains your responsibility.

It is also the ideal car for a solo traveller or a couple: two cabin suitcases in the 252-litre boot, a 36-litre tank that lasts the week in urban use, and consumption that barely exceeds 6 L/100 km even in town. Our customers use it for business trips, family visits in Casablanca, Rabat or Mohammedia, and weekends in El Jadida or Azemmour.

If you are four adults with big luggage, or planning the road to Marrakech and the Atlas, pick a Dacia Sandero or Logan instead (410 and 528 L boots): same controlled budget, more space.

Driving a manual i10 in Morocco

Our i10 has a 5-speed manual gearbox, a deliberate choice: lighter than the AMT version, it uses less fuel and its light clutch is easy to modulate in traffic jams. Hill start assist (HSA) prevents any rollback on car park ramps and on the sloping streets of Anfa or the Corniche.

The naturally aspirated 1.0 MPi likes mid-range revs: for merging onto the urban motorway or the A3 to Rabat, downshift and let it rev, it stays quiet. Once at 120 km/h the i10 is stable and wind noise is well filtered for a car of this size.

The Hyundai i10 in Morocco: 2026 versions and engines

Hyundai Morocco (Global Engines) offers the New i10 in three trims – Attractive, Inventive and Seductive – from 162,900 to 183,900 MAD, all with the 1.0 MPi and an automated manual gearbox (AMT). The European i10 also comes with a 1.2 MPi 79 hp. Here is where the unit we rent fits.

  • 1.0 MPi 67 – boîte manuelle — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, 5-speed manual, 67 hp / 96 Nm, ≈ 5.0 L/100 km. The version in our fleet. The naturally aspirated three-cylinder is smooth, quiet at city speeds and perfectly sized for town and national roads; on the motorway it holds 120 km/h but needs some anticipation to overtake.
  • 1.0 MPi 67 – AMT : Petrol, Automated manual (AMT), 67 hp / 96 Nm, ≈ 5.2 L/100 km. The only gearbox in the 2026 Hyundai Morocco catalogue. The AMT is a single-clutch robotised manual: practical, but less smooth than a true automatic. If you want an automatic in this size, our Kia Picanto or Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan are better suited.

FAQ

Is the Hyundai i10 a 4- or 5-seater?

The i10s in our fleet are certified for 5 seats. The rear bench comfortably takes two adults; three rear passengers remain possible for short urban trips. For four adults with luggage over long distances, the Sandero or Logan are better suited.

Do you have an automatic i10 at Fun & Run?

Our i10 is a manual. For a small automatic, book the Kia Picanto (automatic gearbox) or the Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan, both at a similar price level; they appear in the automatic cars section.

Is the i10 suitable for driving from Casablanca to Marrakech?

Yes for two people: 240 km of motorway at 120 km/h, about 2h30, with consumption close to 5.5 L/100 km. The small 36 L tank means filling up before leaving. For the Atlas or dirt tracks, the limited ground clearance and 67 hp engine make a Duster the better choice.

How many suitcases fit in a Hyundai i10?

The 252-litre boot takes two cabin suitcases (55 × 40 × 20 cm) and a backpack, or one large hold suitcase laid flat. Folding the 60/40 bench gives 1,050 litres, enough for a pushchair or beach gear.

Does my phone connect without a cable?

Yes, the New i10 offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its 8-inch screen. Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps appear directly on the screen; a USB port remains available for charging. Exact features depend on the trim of the delivered unit.

What deposit for the i10?

On the Basic plan a pre-authorisation is taken on your credit card and released on return; its amount, among the lowest in the fleet, is shown on the vehicle page. On the Premium plan no deposit is required and the excess is waived.
