Burning Red new 2026 Suzuki Swift at sunset

With over nine million sold since 2004, the Swift is Suzuki's iconic city car. The fourth generation, launched in 2024, starts from a clean sheet: rounder lines, an oval black metallic grille, pronounced fenders, polished 16-inch alloys and three-layer "candy" paints such as Frontier Blue or Burning Red. Under the bonnet, a new 82 hp Z12E 1.2 three-cylinder with 12 V mild hybrid, paired in Morocco with a CVT automatic, for 4.7 L/100 km.

Fun & Run offers the Swift Hybrid with the automatic gearbox. It weighs under a tonne, which gives it a driving pleasure rare in the class: precise steering, lively chassis, minimal consumption. A 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear camera, Dual Sensor Brake Support emergency braking and adaptive cruise round out a modern specification. The ideal city car for a couple wanting a light, reliable automatic for Casablanca and the coast.

An all-new Swift

Suzuki describes the new Swift as "aggressively playful": rounded shoulders, flared fenders, an oval black metallic grille and polished 16-inch alloys. The three-layer "candy" paints – a transparent tint over a silver base – give Frontier Blue and Burning Red a depth never before seen at Suzuki. A contrasting black roof is available depending on trim.

The driver-oriented cabin adopts a wraparound two-tone dashboard, sporty gauges with a central LCD panel (hybrid energy flow, consumption, range) and a 9-inch touchscreen mirroring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Storage is plentiful and the driving position low, like a little sports car.

The 1.2 Z12E is an all-new Dualjet dual-injection three-cylinder, paired with the SHVS system: a starter-generator and a 12 V lithium-ion battery recover energy on braking and assist the engine. The Heartect platform keeps weight under a tonne, which explains the 4.4 to 4.7 L/100 km consumption and the liveliness in town.

Why the Swift for your stay

The Swift is the car for those who enjoy driving, even in town: light and precise, it threads through medina alleys, parks in 3.86 m and uses barely more fuel than a Yaris Hybrid, at a lower rate. Its CVT and rear camera make it accessible to every driver.

On the coast road to El Jadida or Essaouira its playful chassis is a real pleasure; on the motorway, 82 hp holds 120 km/h with two people and luggage, but prefers planned overtakes. The 265-litre boot takes two cabin suitcases and a bag.

Compared with the Kia Picanto (smaller) and the MG3 (more powerful), the Swift stands out for its lightness, frugality and full driver-aid suite – adaptive cruise included.

The Swift in Morocco in 2026

In Morocco, the new Swift is offered with the 82 hp mild-hybrid 1.2 Dualjet, with 5-speed manual or CVT automatic (Play Swift, around 185,000 to 189,000 MAD). We rent the automatic version.

  • 1.2 Dualjet Hybrid 82 CVT — Version rented by Fun & Run : Mild-hybrid petrol, CVT automatic, 82 hp / 108 Nm, 4.7 L/100 km. Our version. With under a tonne to move, 82 hp is plenty in town and on national roads; the SHVS starter-generator assists pick-up and cuts the engine when stopped.
  • 1.2 Dualjet Hybrid 82 BVM5 : Mild-hybrid petrol, 5-speed manual, 82 hp, 4.4 L/100 km. The manual version, slightly more frugal still. For a manual city car at Fun & Run, see the Hyundai i10, Sandero or Peugeot 208.

FAQ

"Hybrid": do I need to charge the Swift?

No. The Swift is a 12 V mild hybrid: a starter-generator and a small battery assist the petrol engine and enable Stop & Start. It does not drive on pure electricity and has no plug; you simply fill up with petrol. For a full hybrid that drives electrically in town, see the Toyota Yaris Hybrid.

Is 82 hp enough?

Yes, because the Swift weighs under 950 kg: its power-to-weight ratio matches a 110 hp city car weighing 1,200 kg. In town and on national roads it is lively; on the motorway it holds 120 km/h with two people. With four loaded adults, prefer a Clio or Logan.

How much luggage fits in the Swift?

The 265-litre boot takes two cabin suitcases and a backpack, or one large hold suitcase. The 60/40 bench folds for long items.

Is the rented Swift the new 2024+ generation?

Our Swift Hybrid fleet consists of the fourth generation shown here, with CVT automatic, renewed with Suzuki Morocco deliveries. We book a "Swift or similar" category.

Swift or Toyota Yaris Hybrid?

Both are very frugal automatic Japanese city cars. The Yaris is a full hybrid that drives electrically in town (3.5 L/100 km) and a bit more powerful; the Swift is lighter, more playful and cheaper per day. Lots of city and traffic jams: Yaris; budget and driving fun: Swift.

What deposit for the Suzuki Swift?

On the Basic plan, one of the lowest pre-authorisations in the fleet is taken on your credit card and released on return; the amount is shown on the vehicle page. On Premium, no deposit and no excess.
