No car is more Moroccan than the Sandero. Assembled at Renault's Tangier plant, it has been the Kingdom's best-selling new car for more than a decade, and for good reasons: an unbeatable purchase price, parts available in every garage in the country and proven mechanicals. For the 2026 model year Dacia gave it a subtle but effective facelift: pixel-effect grille, inverted-T LED lights, new tail lights integrated into the tailgate, 16-inch wheels and fresh colours such as Sandstone or amber yellow.
Fun & Run offers the Sandero in two versions: the classic manual, the cheapest option in our entire fleet, and the Sandero Automatic powered by the 1.0 TCe 100 hp with a CVT gearbox, new to the Moroccan market for 2026. Either way you drive a 4.09 m city car that is easy to park, with a 410-litre boot and five real seats, ideal for an urban stay in Casablanca, Rabat or Marrakech.
- Lowest rate in the fleet
The manual Sandero is our most affordable vehicle: perfect for a tight budget without giving up space. - Manual or CVT automatic
Two variants in our fleet: manual gearbox or the 1.0 TCe 100 hp with continuously variable transmission, new for 2026. - 410 L boot
Largest boot in its class (328 dm³ VDA), 1,455 L with the 1/3-2/3 bench folded. - 10" screen and 7" cluster
10-inch central touchscreen with smartphone mirroring, 7-inch digital cluster and wireless charger depending on trim. - ESP, brake assist and Isofix
Front and side airbags, stability control with hill start assist, cruise control/limiter, rear parking sensors as standard. - Frugal in town
999 cc turbo three-cylinder: around 5.5 L/100 km combined, 50 L tank for 800 km between fill-ups.

What's new on the 2026 Sandero
The third-generation Sandero, launched in 2021 on the CMF-B platform (shared with the Renault Clio), gets its mid-life update for 2026. Up front, the grille adopts a "pixel" pattern and the headlights draw an inverted-T light signature inherited from the new Duster and Bigster. The rear gains redesigned lights integrated into the tailgate, and wheels grow to 16 inches.
Inside, the dashboard is modernised: new 7-inch digital cluster, driver-oriented 10-inch central screen, blue or denim upholstery depending on trim, and the YouClip system (3 anchor points) to attach a phone holder or tablet. Two USB-C sockets replace the old USB-A, and a wireless charger appears on the Journey trim.
Mechanically, the real news is the arrival of a CVT automatic gearbox on the 1.0 TCe 100: until now the petrol Sandero was manual-only in Morocco. This is the version we added to the fleet as "Sandero Automatique".
Why rent a Sandero for your stay in Morocco
In Casablanca the Sandero is everywhere: taxis, private owners, government fleets. That ubiquity is a real advantage for a visitor. You go unnoticed, you park easily thanks to its 4.09 m length and tight turning circle, and if you get a puncture or a minor issue, every mechanic in the country knows the car inside out.
For a mostly urban stay (Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, El Jadida) it is the rational choice: modest fuel consumption, petrol available everywhere, effective air conditioning and a boot that takes two large suitcases plus a cabin bag. If you plan long motorway legs with four people or mountain tracks, look at the Logan (528 L boot) or the Duster instead.
The Sandero Automatic is especially suited to North American, British or Gulf travellers used to automatics, and to drivers discovering Moroccan traffic for the first time: fewer things to manage, more attention on the road.
Manual or automatic: which one to choose?
The manual Sandero is the most economical option in our fleet and is perfect if you drive a manual every day. The 1.0 TCe 100 is well geared, the lever is precise and hill start assist (HSA) stops you rolling back on the steep streets of the medina or Fez.
The Sandero Automatic costs a few dirhams more per day but transforms city driving: the CVT handles the countless stops at Casablanca's roundabouts and traffic lights on its own, and continuous variation stays smooth even at crawling speed. On the motorway it holds a low, quiet engine speed at 120 km/h. For a first trip to Morocco, it is our recommendation.
2026 Sandero engines in Morocco
Dacia Morocco sells the Sandero "Streetway" (the classic 5-door hatch, not to be confused with the raised Stepway) in three trims – Essential, Expression, Journey – from 132,000 MAD. Two engines are listed; we rent both petrol variants.
- 1.0 TCe 100 – boîte manuelle — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, Manual, 100 hp, ≈ 5.5 L/100 km. Our fleet's "Dacia Sandero". The small turbo three-cylinder is lively in town and adequate on the motorway at 120 km/h. It is the cheapest rental at Fun & Run.
- 1.0 TCe 100 – automatique CVT — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, CVT automatic, 100 hp, ≈ 5.7 L/100 km. Our "Dacia Sandero Automatique". The continuously variable gearbox is the big news for 2026: totally smooth in Casablanca traffic, no jerks. The recommended choice if you are not used to driving a manual.
- 1.5 dCi 95 : Diesel, 5-speed manual, 95 hp / 220 Nm, 3.8 L/100 km. The frugal four-cylinder diesel remains popular with Moroccan buyers. We don't rent it: for stays of a few days petrol is simpler and cheaper at Casablanca pumps.

FAQ
What is the difference between "Sandero" and "Sandero Automatique" in your fleet?
Same car, same 1.0 TCe 100 hp petrol engine, but the first has a manual gearbox and the second a CVT automatic. Both have 5 seats, air conditioning and unlimited mileage; only the gearbox and the daily rate differ.
Is the rented Sandero really the facelifted 2026 model?
Our Sandero fleet is renewed regularly with the latest Dacia Morocco deliveries. We book a category ("Sandero or similar"): if unavailable you get an equivalent or higher city car (e.g. Renault Clio or Hyundai i20), never a lower category.
How much luggage fits in a Sandero?
The 410-litre boot (328 dm³ VDA) is the largest in the segment: two large hard-shell suitcases plus a cabin bag, or three medium suitcases. Folding the 1/3-2/3 bench gives 1,455 litres.
Is the Sandero powerful enough for the Casablanca–Marrakech motorway?
Yes. The 1.0 TCe 100 hp easily holds the 120 km/h limit on the A7, even with four people and luggage. The trip takes about 2h30 with consumption around 6 L/100 km. For sustained climbs in the Atlas at full load, the Duster will be more comfortable.
How much does it cost to rent a Dacia Sandero in Casablanca?
The manual Sandero is our cheapest vehicle. The daily Basic rate depends on duration (3-day minimum) and drops in tiers (8-14, 15-30 and 30+ day tiers). The exact price for your dates is shown on the vehicle page.
Can I drive the Sandero with a foreign licence?
Yes, a national licence in Latin characters held for at least 2 years is sufficient for most countries (EU, UK, USA, Canada, Gulf). Drivers must be at least 21; a young-driver surcharge applies under 23. An international permit is recommended if your licence is not in Latin script.
