The Creta is the compact SUV that built Hyundai's reputation in emerging markets, and its latest evolution, sold in Morocco as the "New Creta", has moved up a level: new front end with a parametric grille framed by horizontal LED lights, full-width rear light bar, a dual 10.25-inch screen cabin and a safety package that exceeds most compact SUVs in the segment.
Hyundai Morocco sells it in three trims – Premium, Luxe and Ultimate – from 264,900 to 321,900 MAD, all with the 115 hp 1.5 MPi petrol and the iVT continuously variable automatic. That is exactly our fleet's configuration: a petrol automatic SUV, quiet and easy to drive, ideal for a stay of four or five between Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and the Atlantic coast.
- iVT automatic

What's new with the New Creta
The deep 2024 facelift gave the Creta a more muscular, more technological identity. The front end is organised around a chrome parametric grille, horizontal LED daytime lights and low-set LED headlights, in the spirit of the recent Tucson and Santa Fe. At the rear, an LED light bar links the two lamps and emphasises the SUV's width; alloy wheels grow to 17 or 18 inches depending on trim.
The cabin is that of a higher-class SUV: dual 10.25-inch screens (digital cluster and infotainment with navigation), automatic climate control with rear vents, wireless charger, ambient lighting and, on the Ultimate trim, a sunroof, leather seats and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. Bluelink connectivity allows some functions to be controlled remotely.
Hyundai claims over 70 safety features, with six airbags as standard on every version, electronic stability control, hill start assist and, depending on trim, Smart Sense driver aids (emergency braking, lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring).
Why choose the Creta for your stay
The Creta is the ideal compromise between a city car and a large SUV: compact enough (4.33 m) to park in central Casablanca or Rabat, tall and comfortable enough to chain Marrakech, Essaouira and Agadir without fatigue. Its iVT automatic and quiet petrol engine make it a relaxing car, including for drivers unfamiliar with Moroccan roads.
Inside, four adults travel comfortably with their luggage in the 433-litre boot, and a fifth passenger fits for medium trips. Rear vents and tinted windows really matter in summer, when temperatures exceed 35 °C between Marrakech and the south.
Against the Dacia Duster, the Creta is more refined, better insulated and better equipped; against the Kia Sportage, it is more compact and cheaper per day, but petrol and less powerful. It is the SUV we recommend to families who prioritise urban and suburban comfort.
The Creta in Morocco: 2026 versions
In Morocco, Hyundai kept it simple: a single engine, the 115 hp 1.5 MPi petrol with iVT gearbox, in three trims. Our Creta matches this configuration.
- 1.5 MPi 115 iVT — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, iVT automatic (CVT), 115 hp / 144 Nm, 5.8 L/100 km. Our fleet configuration. The naturally aspirated four-cylinder is smooth and reliable; the iVT keeps it in its comfort zone. Enough for five people on the motorway, provided you anticipate uphill overtaking.
- 1.5 CRDi 116 (autres marchés) : Diesel, 6-speed automatic, 116 hp / 250 Nm, ≈ 5 L/100 km. The Creta exists as a diesel in other markets but is not imported to Morocco in 2026. If you want a diesel automatic SUV for very long distances, book our Kia Sportage.

FAQ
Is the Creta a 4x4?
No. The Creta sold in Morocco is a two-wheel-drive SUV. Its ground clearance allows graded tracks (hotel and beach access), but off-roading is excluded by our terms. For Atlas or desert tracks, prefer the Dacia Duster.
What is the real-world consumption of the petrol automatic Creta?
Hyundai quotes 5.8 L/100 km combined. In real use, expect 6.5 to 7 L/100 km on the motorway at 120 km/h and 8 to 9 L/100 km in town. The 50 L petrol tank gives 650 to 750 km of range.
How much luggage fits in the Creta?
The 433-litre boot takes three large hold suitcases and two cabin bags. The 60/40 bench folds for long items. For five passengers with five large suitcases, the Kia Sportage (571 L) will be more comfortable.
Is the Creta suitable for a Casablanca – Agadir trip?
Yes: about 470 km of motorway (A7 then A3 to Agadir), 4h30 to 5h of driving. The Creta is comfortable and quiet there, with cruise control for the long straights. Unlimited mileage applies, and you can return the car in Agadir with a one-way fee.
Is the rented Creta really the 2026 New Creta?
Our Creta fleet consists of the latest facelifted generation, petrol automatic, renewed with Hyundai Morocco deliveries. We book a "Creta or similar" category: if unavailable, you get an equivalent automatic SUV.
What deposit for a Hyundai Creta?
On the Basic plan a pre-authorisation is taken on your credit card and released on return; the amount is shown on the vehicle page. On Premium there is no deposit and no excess. A credit card in the main driver's name is essential.
