The fifth-generation Santa Fe, unveiled in 2023, broke with everything Hyundai had done before: a boxy silhouette with horizontal lines, an "H" light signature front and rear, a vertical tailgate opening onto a terrace-like boot, and a 2.82 m wheelbase for three genuinely usable rows of seats. Named benchmark family SUV by many juries, it is sold in Morocco by Hyundai Morocco as a 194 hp 2.2 CRDi diesel with 8-speed dual-clutch automatic, in 4x2 (Premium 515,900 MAD, Luxe 545,900 MAD) and 4x4 (Ultimate 609,900 MAD).

Fun & Run offers the Santa Fe as a 7-seat diesel automatic. It is our most upmarket SUV: 12.3-inch curved panoramic display, leather upholstery, digital centre mirror, full SmartSense driver aids, and above all an interior that lets seven adults travel with luggage. The new Santa Fe: radical design in the service of space

Hyundai designed the fifth Santa Fe "from the back forward", starting with the tailgate: vertical and very wide, it opens onto a flat boot floor the brand calls its "terrace". The boxy silhouette, squared wheel arches, up to 20-inch wheels and the "H" light signature – a nod to Hyundai – give it the presence of a large American SUV, in 4.83 m.

The cabin is conceived as a lounge: a horizontal dashboard with a curved panoramic display combining two 12.3-inch panels, a dual-opening centre console accessible from both rows, dual wireless chargers, a digital centre mirror and, depending on trim, heated and ventilated front seats, panoramic roof, tri-zone climate control and Bose audio. Row 2 slides and reclines, row 3 takes two adults with their own vents and USB-C ports.

The Santa Fe carries Hyundai's most complete SmartSense suite: adaptive cruise with lane following (Highway Driving Assist), emergency braking with pedestrian, cyclist and junction detection, camera blind-spot view in the cluster, 360° camera and remote parking from the key.

Why the Santa Fe for your stay in Morocco

The Santa Fe is the premium solution for travelling with six or seven people and luggage: where compact 7-seaters sacrifice the boot, it keeps about 300 litres with every seat occupied and up to 725 litres with five. On the motorway, the 194 hp 2.2 CRDi and DCT8 hold a silent 120 km/h cruise at 6.5 to 7 L/100 km, with over 900 km from a 67-litre tank of diesel.

As a family, every passenger enjoys their own air conditioning, USB-C ports and generous space, including in the third row; ventilated seats and the panoramic roof make the Casablanca–Agadir or Casablanca–Fez trip as pleasant as a business-class flight. In town, the 360° camera and parking aids make up for the 4.83 m size.

Against the Kia Sportage (5 seats, 136 hp), the Santa Fe is a step up in space, power and equipment; against the KGM Rexton, it is more modern and more technological. It is the vehicle we recommend to large families and groups who want to travel without compromise.

The Ultimate trim with HTRAC all-wheel drive and terrain modes (snow, sand, mud). FAQ

Can you really travel with 7 people and luggage in the Santa Fe?

Yes, that is its great strength: about 300 litres remain behind the third row, i.e. four to five cabin bags or two medium suitcases. With six aboard and one row-3 seat folded, you exceed 500 litres. A roof box can be provided on request.

Is the Santa Fe a 4x4?

Depending on the unit: Premium and Luxe trims are 4x2, the Ultimate is HTRAC 4x4 with terrain modes. If you need all-wheel drive (Atlas tracks, snow in Ifrane in winter), tell us at booking. Serious off-roading remains excluded by our terms.

What consumption for such a large SUV?

The 2.2 CRDi is very frugal for the size: 6.5 to 7 L/100 km on the motorway at 120 km/h, 8 to 9 L/100 km in town. With 67 litres of diesel, expect 850 to 950 km of range.

Is the rented Santa Fe the new 2024+ generation?

Our Santa Fe fleet consists of the fifth generation shown here, as a 7-seat diesel automatic, renewed with Hyundai Morocco deliveries. We book a "Santa Fe or similar" category: if unavailable, you get an equivalent large 7-seat SUV.

Santa Fe or Kia Sportage?

The Sportage is a 136 hp 5-seat compact diesel SUV, cheaper per day and enough for four or five. The Santa Fe is a 194 hp 7-seat large SUV, far roomier and more luxurious. Beyond five people or for a premium stay, the Santa Fe is the one.
