The Corsa has been Opel's best-selling city car for over forty years. Its sixth generation, facelifted in 2024, adopts the "Vizor" – the black panel linking the LED headlights and housing the new Opel Blitz – along with a modernised cabin with 10-inch touchscreen and digital cluster. A cousin of the Peugeot 208 on the CMP platform, it differs with a more rectilinear design, a conventional driving position and a firmer, German-style chassis setup. Opel Morocco offers it from 199,000 MAD in Edition trim with the 100 hp 1.2 turbo and 6-speed manual, then as a 130 hp 1.2 turbo with 8-speed automatic on GS and Ultimate.
Fun & Run rents the Corsa as a turbo petrol manual. It suits travellers who want a city car with a German image, precise and well insulated, with torque for merging and consumption around 5 L/100 km. For a couple or small family on an urban stay with a few coastal getaways, it is the "Vizor" alternative to the Clio and 208.

The facelifted Corsa: pure and bold from every angle
The 2024 facelift gave the Corsa the face of Opel's new identity: the Vizor, a gloss black panel spanning the front end, linking the LED headlights and housing the redesigned Blitz logo. The more sculpted bumper, smoked tail lights and taut roofline assert a more dynamic character than its 208 cousin; 16- or 17-inch wheels and two-tone colours with a black roof complete the look.
The cabin was modernised with a floating 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital cluster on higher trims, a new steering wheel and a clean console without a traditional gear lever on the automatic. AGR-certified ergonomic seats (on GS) are an Opel speciality, and sound insulation is at compact-car level.
Driver aids include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, cruise control and, depending on trim, sensors and a rear camera as well as IntelliLux Matrix LED headlights.

At 4.06 m it parks anywhere; the 309-litre boot takes two hold suitcases and a cabin bag, and four adults travel comfortably for two to three hours. The rear camera (depending on trim) and sensors make parallel parking easy.
Against the Peugeot 208, its technical cousin, the Corsa relies on a conventional driving position and more sober styling; against the Clio, it is firmer and more "German". For an equivalent automatic, the Clio Automatique or MG3.

Corsa or Peugeot 208?
Both share the CMP platform and the 100 hp 1.2 turbo with 6-speed gearbox. The 208 relies on its small-wheel i-Cockpit and feline design; the Corsa on a conventional driving position, a more sober Vizor style and a firmer chassis. A matter of taste: rates are close.
Do you have an automatic Corsa?
