The T-Roc is Volkswagen's best-selling compact SUV in Europe, and in Morocco it occupies a niche of its own: the "accessible premium" SUV between mainstream and luxury brands. Volkswagen Morocco offers it in 2026 from 349,000 MAD with the 150 hp 1.5 TSI and 7-speed DSG gearbox, alongside the all-new second-generation New T-Roc (359,000 MAD). The T-Roc: confidence in a compact form
Facelifted in 2022, the first-generation T-Roc wears Volkswagen's current face: grille crossed by an LED light strip, LED headlights with hook signature, redesigned bumpers and smoked LED tail lights. Its raised-coupé silhouette, with an optional contrasting roof and 17- or 18-inch wheels, remains one of the most elegant in the segment, and the panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with light.
The facelift gave the cabin a soft-touch dashboard, Digital Cockpit as standard and a floating infotainment screen with wireless App-Connect. The seats are firm and well shaped, the driving position perfectly adjustable, and the 445-litre boot has a two-level floor. Perceived quality is Golf-like: that is what sets the T-Roc apart in our SUV range.
On safety, the T-Roc carries Front Assist (emergency braking with pedestrian detection), Lane Assist and ACC adaptive cruise – combined in Travel Assist, which manages speed, distance and trajectory on the motorway – plus Park Assist, which parks the car almost by itself.
Why rent a T-Roc for your stay
The T-Roc is the SUV we recommend to demanding travellers who don't need a Sportage's size: 4.24 m is enough for four adults and their luggage, and the Golf-derived chassis gives reassuring stability on Moroccan motorways, especially in crosswinds on the A1 to Tangier or the A3 to Agadir. Travel Assist makes long legs relaxing.
The 150 hp 1.5 TSI and DSG deliver safe overtaking on national roads and real-world consumption around 6 L/100 km, with over 800 km of range. In town, the rear camera, sensors and Park Assist make up for the limited rear visibility typical of the coupé silhouette.
Against the Hyundai Creta, the T-Roc is more powerful, more refined and better equipped with driver aids, at a higher daily rate; against the Kia Sportage, it is more compact and petrol. It is the "driving pleasure" SUV of our fleet.

In 2026 Volkswagen Morocco sells both the T-Roc (facelifted first generation, 349,000 MAD, 150 hp, 445 L boot) and the second-generation New T-Roc (359,000 MAD, 150 hp, 475 L boot, 5.5 L/100 km). Our fleet consists of first-generation T-Rocs.

FAQ
Will I drive the T-Roc or the New T-Roc?
Our fleet consists of facelifted first-generation T-Rocs (1.5 TSI 150 DSG), still sold new by Volkswagen Morocco in 2026. The second-generation New T-Roc will join the fleet as vehicles are renewed. We rent a "T-Roc or similar" category.
Is the DSG gearbox easy to use?
Yes: it is a dual-clutch automatic, two pedals and a P-R-N-D lever with sequential manual mode. It is very fast and smooth once rolling; at very low manoeuvring speeds it can be slightly less creamy than a torque-converter automatic, which is normal.
How much luggage fits in the T-Roc?
The 445-litre boot takes three large hold suitcases or two large plus two cabin bags, with a two-level adjustable floor. The 60/40 bench folds to reach 1,290 litres.
Is the T-Roc a 4x4?
No, our T-Roc is front-wheel drive. Its ground clearance suits secondary roads and graded tracks; off-roading is excluded by our rental terms. For tracks, prefer the Dacia Duster.
What is the real-world motorway consumption?
Volkswagen quotes 5.3 L/100 km combined. At 120 km/h on the motorway expect 6 to 6.5 L/100 km thanks to cylinder deactivation; in town, 8 to 9 L/100 km. The 50 L tank gives 750 to 850 km.
What deposit for the T-Roc?
On the Basic plan a pre-authorisation proportional to the vehicle's value is taken on your credit card and released on return; the amount is shown on the vehicle page. On Premium, no deposit and no excess – the plan we recommend for the T-Roc.
