European Car of the Year 2020, the Peugeot 208 reinvented itself in 2023 with a bolder front end carrying the new Peugeot shield, a three-claw vertical light signature front and rear, new wheels and vivid colours such as Agueda yellow. Peugeot Morocco sells it in 2026 in three trims: Active with the 1.2 PureTech 100 petrol, Allure and GT with the 1.5 BlueHDi 100 diesel, all with a 6-speed manual.
Fun & Run offers the 208 as a PureTech 100 petrol manual. What sets it apart from our other city cars is the driving position: the Peugeot i-Cockpit with its small steering wheel, raised digital cluster (3D on higher trims) and 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Mirror Screen. A car that makes you want to take the coast road rather than the motorway.

The facelifted 208: irresistible design
The facelift transformed the 208's front end: a wider grille blended into the bumper, the new Peugeot shield in the centre, slim LED headlights and a three-claw vertical light signature dropping into the bumper. At the rear, the Full LED lights repeat the three claws on a gloss black strip. New wheels – 16-inch Monti or Noma, 17-inch Yanaka on the GT – and the Agueda yellow colour assert its sporty character.
The cabin is Peugeot i-Cockpit territory: compact steering wheel, digital cluster set high in the line of sight (customisable 3D display on GT), 10-inch touchscreen and piano-key toggles. Wireless Mirror Screen mirrors Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; higher trims add automatic climate control, keyless access and 8-colour ambient lighting.
Driver aids include Active Safety Brake (automatic emergency braking), lane departure warning and cruise control; front and rear parking aids and the Visio Park 1 camera equip Allure and GT.
Why the 208 for your stay
The 208 is for those who want a city car with character: a couple on a weekend in Essaouira, a business traveller who prefers an enjoyable drive to a plain "economy rental". The PureTech 100 has the punch for merging onto Casablanca's urban motorway, and the CMP chassis is precise and fun on the winding roads of the coast or the Middle Atlas.
At 4.06 m it parks anywhere; the 311-litre boot takes two hold suitcases and a cabin bag, and four adults travel comfortably for two- to three-hour trips. Real-world consumption sits around 5.5 to 6 L/100 km, close to 750 km per tank.
Compared with the Clio, the 208 is lower and sportier, with a unique driving position; compared with the Citroën C3, it favours agility over plush comfort. For an automatic, the Clio Automatique or MG3 remain the same-size alternatives.
The 208 in Morocco in 2026: petrol or diesel
Peugeot Morocco offers the New 208 in Active (1.2 PureTech 100 petrol), Allure and GT (1.5 BlueHDi 100 diesel), all with a 6-speed manual. We rent the petrol version.
- 1.2 PureTech 100 BVM6 — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, 6-speed manual, 100 hp / 205 Nm, 5.0 L/100 km. Our fleet version. The turbo three-cylinder pulls from 1,750 rpm: the 208 merges easily, climbs hills effortlessly and holds 120 km/h at low revs thanks to sixth gear.
- 1.5 BlueHDi 100 S&S BVM6 : Diesel, 6-speed manual, 100 hp / 250 Nm, ≈ 4.0 L/100 km. The very frugal diesel of the Allure and GT trims. For a small diesel in our fleet, look at the Renault Kardian dCi.

FAQ
What is the Peugeot i-Cockpit?
It is Peugeot's signature layout: a small steering wheel, an instrument cluster set high and read over the wheel (not through it), and a central touchscreen. It may take a few minutes of seat and wheel adjustment to find the right position, then driving becomes very intuitive.
Is the rented 208 the facelifted model?
Our 208 fleet consists of the second generation, renewed with Peugeot Morocco deliveries, including the three-claw facelifted version shown here. We book a "208 or similar" category.
Do you have an automatic 208?
Our 208 has a 6-speed manual, like the entire 208 range sold in Morocco in 2026. For an equivalent automatic city car, book the Clio Automatique, Sandero Automatique or MG3 Automatique.
How much luggage fits in the 208?
311 litres: two medium hold suitcases and a cabin bag, or three cabin bags. The 60/40 bench folds for long items.
Is the 208 suitable for Casablanca – Marrakech?
Yes: 240 km of motorway in about 2h30, the PureTech 100 holds 120 km/h at low revs in sixth, consuming around 5.5 L/100 km. Cruise control and well-shaped seats make the trip relaxing.
What deposit for the Peugeot 208?
On the Basic plan a pre-authorisation is taken on your credit card and released on return; the amount is shown on the vehicle page. On Premium, no deposit and no excess.
