Excess and security deposit: two different things

The excess is the amount you may have to pay for a covered claim, depending on the contract and your liability.

The security deposit is a guarantee for the rental, separate from the booking prepayment. Under Basic it depends on the vehicle; under Premium no security deposit is required.

Full conditions

Basic

The FUN AND RUN Basic plan lets you rent a vehicle with unlimited mileage and insurance with an excess. The applicable services and fees are set out below.

  1. Unlimited mileage

    Mileage is unlimited throughout the rental, with no surcharge linked to the distance travelled.

  2. Insurance with an excess

    The vehicle is insured with an excess. For a covered claim, the applicable excess remains payable by the renter according to their liability, the rental agreement and the insurance policy terms. Coverage exclusions still apply.

  3. Roadside assistance with charges

    Roadside assistance may be requested in the event of a breakdown, accident or immobilisation. Call-out, recovery and, where necessary, towing costs are charged according to the situation and the applicable terms.

  4. Additional driver for a fee

    An additional driver may be added for a supplement. They must meet the driving requirements and be named on the agreement before driving.

  5. Standard cleaning included

    Standard cleaning is included. The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. Exceptional cleaning may incur an additional charge.

  6. Security deposit according to category

    A security deposit is required. Its amount depends on the vehicle category and model and is communicated before the booking is confirmed. It is refunded or released in accordance with the agreement after the vehicle and any outstanding amounts have been checked.

  7. Application of the general terms

    These specific conditions supplement the FUN AND RUN general rental terms. They take precedence over conflicting general provisions concerning services specific to the Basic plan. The other provisions of the general terms remain applicable.

Premium

Travel with peace of mind, without an excess or a security deposit!

  1. Unlimited mileage

    The renter benefits from unlimited mileage throughout the rental, with no additional charges linked to the distance travelled.

  2. Comprehensive insurance without an excess

    The Premium plan includes comprehensive insurance with a 0 DH excess for covered claims. No contractual excess is charged for covered damage, provided the contractual obligations and reporting procedures are followed. Legal and contractual exclusions still apply.

  3. Free roadside assistance 24/7

    Roadside assistance is free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for covered incidents. It includes recovery and towing if necessary, in accordance with the applicable terms.

  4. Premium cleaning included

    A Premium cleaning service is included. The vehicle must be returned in a reasonable condition; exceptional soiling or damage may result in additional charges.

  5. Free child seat on request

    A child seat or booster is provided free of charge on prior request, subject to availability. The customer provides the child’s age and, where necessary, weight so that suitable equipment can be arranged.

  6. Priority delivery

    Premium bookings receive priority preparation and delivery organisation, subject to agreed times and operational constraints.

  7. No security deposit

    No security deposit is required and no amount is blocked on the bank card as a security deposit. The customer remains liable for any additional charges, infringements, excluded damage or breaches of contract.

  8. Applicable general terms

    These specific conditions supplement the FUN AND RUN general terms and take precedence in the event of a conflict concerning the excess, security deposit and Premium services. Other contractual obligations remain applicable.
