The Picanto has been Kia's mini city car since 2004, and its third generation received such a deep facelift in 2024 that Kia Morocco sells it as the "New Picanto". The styling adopts the brand's "Opposites United" philosophy: vertical full LED headlights – a first in the class –, LED daytime lights across the full width of the front end, light-bar tail lamps and redesigned bumpers. The result looks like a little EV9, in 3.60 metres.
At Fun & Run, the Picanto is our smallest automatic car. It is aimed at travellers who want the ease of an automatic for an urban stay without paying compact-car rates: two pedals, a rear camera, an 8-inch screen that mirrors your phone's navigation and a footprint that parks in any Casablanca space.
- Automatic gearbox
Our two-pedal mini city car: ideal for drivers used to automatics or discovering Moroccan traffic. - Full LED, a first
Vertical full LED headlights and full-width daytime lights: excellent night visibility, big-car looks. - 8" screen + wireless charger
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two phones over Bluetooth, wireless charger and USB-C as standard. - Rear camera and sensors
Reinforced chassis, rear camera with parking sensors, ESC and airbags: parallel parking becomes a game. - Only 3.60 m
The shortest in our fleet, with a tiny turning circle: Maârif, Gauthier and the medina without stress. - Around 5 L/100 km
Frugal small naturally aspirated engine and 35 L tank: one fill-up covers a week in town.

A completely transformed style
The 2024 Picanto facelift is one of the most radical ever applied to a mini city car. The front end adopts vertical full LED headlights, a first in the class, linked by an LED light signature running the full width of the bonnet – Kia's famous "Tiger Face" reinterpreted. The more vertical bumper and angular intakes give the Picanto a rugged, almost SUV-like look.
At the rear, the LED lights are joined by a horizontal light bar that visually widens the car; redesigned wheels and new colours (Sporty Blue, Milky Beige…) complete the makeover. Kia also stiffened the chassis with additional front structural members, benefiting safety and handling.
The cabin moves on: TFT instrument display, 8-inch infotainment screen as standard on every version with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger and USB-C port, customisable two-tone upholstery and trim. The rear seats fold 60/40 and legroom remains surprising for 3.60 m.
The ideal small automatic for Casablanca
If you only drive automatics and your stay is mostly urban, the Picanto is the most economical answer in our fleet. It parks where compacts give up, turns on a dime and uses practically nothing in Casablanca traffic jams. The rear camera and sensors make parallel parking trivial, even in the narrow streets of the Habous district.
On the motorway it holds the regulatory 120 km/h with two people and luggage; for four adults or long distances to Marrakech and beyond, we recommend a Logan Automatique or Clio Automatique instead, more powerful and roomier. The 255-litre boot takes two cabin suitcases and a bag.
Our customers book the Picanto for business stays in Casablanca and Rabat, family visits and weekends in Mohammedia or El Jadida: a stress-free car at a rate close to a manual's.
The Picanto in Morocco: 2026 versions
Kia Morocco offers the New Picanto in Business, Motion and GT Line trims, from 134,900 to 170,900 MAD (promotional prices), with two petrol engines and a choice of manual or automatic gearbox. Our Picanto is an automatic.
- 1.0 MPi 67 AT — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, Automatic, 67 hp, 4.9 L/100 km. The most common engine in the Moroccan range and in most of our Picantos: a frugal, quiet three-cylinder, perfectly suited to town and adequate on the motorway with two people.
- 1.2 MPi 84 AT GT Line — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, Automatic, 84 hp, 5.2 L/100 km. The 1.2 four-cylinder of the top GT Line trim, a little livelier for merging and hills. Some units in our fleet may be delivered in this version ("Picanto or similar" category).
- 1.0 MPi 67 – manuelle : Petrol, 5-speed manual, 67 hp, 4.9 L/100 km. The entry-level manual version. We don't rent it: in this size, our manual mini city car is the Hyundai i10.

FAQ
Is the Picanto a real conventional automatic?
Yes, the Picanto in our fleet has a two-pedal automatic with a P-R-N-D lever: no clutch to manage. It is easy to get used to for a driver coming from North America, the UK or the Gulf.
How many people and how much luggage?
Four adults fit for short trips, but the Picanto is ideal for two or three. The 255-litre boot takes two cabin suitcases and a backpack; folding the 60/40 bench gives close to 1,000 litres for a large suitcase laid flat.
Picanto or Hyundai i10?
Both are mini city cars of the same size. The main difference at Fun & Run: the Picanto is automatic, the i10 is manual (and slightly cheaper). If you can drive a manual and want the minimum rate, take the i10; otherwise, the Picanto.
Can I go to Marrakech with the Picanto?
Yes, with two people: 240 km of motorway at 120 km/h in about 2h30, consumption around 5.5 L/100 km. Fill the 35 L tank before leaving. For four adults with luggage, a Logan or Clio will be more comfortable.
Does my phone work on the screen?
Yes, the New Picanto's 8-inch screen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (USB-C connection) and can pair two phones over Bluetooth. A wireless charger is built into the console.
How much does it cost to rent the Picanto?
The Picanto is our cheapest automatic. The daily Basic and Premium rate depends on duration (3-day minimum, decreasing from 8, 15 and 30 days) and is shown in real time in "The Kia Picanto in our fleet" block and on the vehicle page.
