The third generation of Hyundai's versatile supermini, the i20 was facelifted in 2023: a wider new grille, redesigned bumpers, LED front and rear lights with an arrow signature, 16- or 17-inch wheels and vivid colours such as Lucid Lime. At 4.04 m long and 1.78 m wide it is one of the largest in its class, and its 352-litre boot beats a Clio or 208. Hyundai Morocco offers it in 2026 in Attractive and Inventive trims, all automatic, from 194,900 MAD.
Fun & Run rents the i20 as a petrol automatic. It suits travellers who want a "class-above" city car: dual 10.25-inch digital screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Hyundai SmartSense driver aids, a welcoming rear bench and a generous boot, in a footprint that is still easy to park. The facelifted i20: sensuous sportiness
The 2023 facelift sharpened the i20's "Sensuous Sportiness" design: a widened parametric-pattern grille, slimmer LED headlights, a redesigned front bumper with diamond-shaped intakes, and at the rear arrow-shaped LED lights linked by a horizontal strip. The roof can be two-tone and wheels go up to 17 inches; the bright green Lucid Lime is the range's signature colour.
The cabin is the most technological in the class: a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a same-size touchscreen aligned in a single panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, ambient lighting and a Bose audio system on higher trims. Storage is plentiful and the 352-litre boot, with adjustable floor, is one of the largest among superminis.
On safety, Hyundai SmartSense combines emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning and cruise control; six airbags and ESC with stability management are standard.
Why the i20 for your stay in Morocco
The i20 is the right compromise for those who find the i10 too small but don't want an SUV: four adults travel comfortably, the boot swallows three suitcases and the automatic gearbox makes Casablanca traffic relaxing. Its driver aids and rear camera reassure in narrow medina car parks.
On the motorway to Marrakech, Rabat or Tangier it is stable and quiet for a city car, consuming around 6 L/100 km with over 600 km per tank. Cruise control and well-shaped seats make two- to three-hour legs pleasant.
Compared with the Clio Automatique, the i20 offers more boot space and a bigger dual screen; compared with the Grand i10 Sedan, it is more modern and better equipped, with a practical hatchback. It is the "premium" automatic supermini of our fleet.

Hyundai Morocco offers the New i20 as Attractive BVA (194,900 MAD), Attractive MHEV BVA (205,900 MAD) and Inventive BVA (210,900 MAD). Our fleet is petrol automatic.
- 1.2 MPi 84 BVA — Version rented by Fun & Run : Petrol, Automatic, 84 hp / 118 Nm, ≈ 5.7 L/100 km. The entry version, a smooth, reliable naturally aspirated four-cylinder suited to town and national roads. Most of our i20s are in this configuration.
- 1.0 T-GDi 100 MHEV BVA — Version rented by Fun & Run : 48 V mild-hybrid petrol, Automatic, 100 hp / 172 Nm, ≈ 5.2 L/100 km. The mild-hybrid turbo three-cylinder: more torque and frugality on the motorway. Some units in our fleet may be delivered in this version ("i20 or similar" category).

i10 or i20: what is the difference?
The i10 is a 3.67 m manual mini city car, the cheapest in our fleet. The i20 is a 4.04 m automatic supermini with a 352 L boot (vs 252 L), dual 10.25" screens and more driver aids. Two people in town: i10; four with luggage or motorway driving: i20.
How much luggage fits in the i20?
The 352-litre boot takes three medium hold suitcases or two large plus a cabin bag, with an adjustable floor. The 60/40 bench folds to reach 1,165 litres.
Is the rented i20 the facelifted 2026 model?
Our i20 fleet consists of the third generation, renewed with Hyundai Morocco deliveries, including the facelifted version shown here. We book an "i20 or similar" category: if unavailable, you get an equivalent automatic city car.
Is the i20 suitable for a long trip?
Yes: stable, quiet and fitted with cruise control, it chains Casablanca–Marrakech or Casablanca–Tangier without fatigue at around 6 L/100 km. With four loaded adults on Atlas passes, the 1.2 needs planning; the 1.0 T-GDi is more at ease.
Does my phone connect wirelessly?
Yes, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly on the i20's 10.25" screen, and an induction charger equips higher trims. USB-C ports are available front and rear.
What deposit for the Hyundai i20?
On the Basic plan a pre-authorisation is taken on your credit card and released on return; the amount is shown on the vehicle page. On Premium, no deposit and no excess.
